From a collaborator's seat to the director's chair
Designing for issue 34 gave me an inside view of the problem. It wasn't only visual: anyone could join the design team without a filter, there were no editorial guidelines for designers and no production schedule, so quality varied widely and the magazine only came out every six months. Issue 35 was the first under the new system.
